WWII Limited Edition Aviation Print Gerald Coulson "A Special Breed"

This 1980s aviation print is "A Special Breed" by Gerald Couson, #268 of a limited edition of 650 prints. It depicts a Tiger Moth G-AOEI owned by Cambridge Flying Group flying over the Cambridge countryside. The Royal Air Force's last bi-plane, the Tiger Moth served as a trainer from 1932 to 1947. Its design remained nearly the same. It was well constructed and was able to do aerobatics. A total of only 8800 Tiger Moths were built including 420 Radio Controlled Pilot-less Target aircraft (The Queen Bee). It was for a brief period during the first months of WWII for coastal reconnaissance.

The print is in pristine condition, never hung, always stored. It is signed by the artist in pencil as is the limited edition number. The outside border measures approximately 34" by 25" high.
