Germany Bisque Doll Kid Body Signed Welsh & Co.MOA Max Oscar Arnold 18”

This is a lovely old doll, pre-1915 from the marks. The Max Oscar Arnold Doll Company was located in Neustadt, Germany from 1878 – 1930. It made doll heads for Welsh and Co., Germany and were distributed by John Bing Co. in New York. These dolls are often marked with “MOA” on the back of the head. This doll is so marked with “W & C” (Welsh & Co.) “Germany” (earlier origin only without Made In requirement of 1914 on). It is size and style numbered “250 2/0”. The doll has a bisque head and shoulder bust and arms and hands from the elbow. The fine kid body is fully socketed and all original. The doll has painted eyelashes and lashes and open mouth with teeth. She is in very fine condition with original (cropped wig). The dolls outfit is vintage 40’s-50s, not original to the doll. She measures approx. 18 inches high. Both her bisque and her kid are in fine/very fine condition. (rl-2)
