This lovely scarce set of Hull Art Pottery includes the Magnolia Glossy Teapot and a matching sugar and creamer. The background is light cream yellow shading to soft rose pink with green accents. The dainty soft colors of this pretty 3 piece American art pottery set are classic early Matte Hull. The sugar and creamer are in fine condition with no crazing chips or cracks. The teapot has a repaired lid as pictured. It does not show very much from the outside and would be ok until hopefully another intact lid is found. The covered sugar and creamer are fine with minor wear to the gold trim. The teapot is good with very minor crazing on the lid, some heat pitting to the gold on the handle and what appears to be a factory production line flaw, nonstructural, in the footed base as pictured. There is also an old under spout chip that has been touched up with gold and is not noticeable unless you are looking for it (as pictured). Magnolia in glossy with gold trim is very hard to fine to very rare for collectors. The Magnolia Glossy pattern dates 1947-1948. The teapot is marked on the base Hull Art U.S.A. W-20-6 ½”. The covered sugar is marked the same with number 22-31/2” and the creamer #21-3 ¾”. (last denote Measurements).
