This gorgeous Art Pottery Vase is unsigned as many early pieces of Lonhuda and some Louwelsa were. I think it is Lonhuda Faience Circa 1895, the forerunner to the Weller company. It features a gorgeous Underglaze slip hand painted wheat head and leaves on a dark brown to shaded green body. It is in excellent condition measuring 8.5 inches high by 6.5 inches wide at the handles.
This art pottery is from a lifetime collection of over 120 Hull pottery pieces and also includes several other art pottery pieces we will offer. See the picture of one of the Hull showcases as it was shown in her home. The collection includes very desirable patterns, large examples, sets, clocks, figurals, and scarce pieces. Be sure and mark our site to watch for this collection as we work to get it all up for sale. (ls-127)
