C. Ahrenfeldt Limoges Early Serving Charger Lg. Dinner Plate Hand Painted

Because the mark does not have the France Country of Origin and is slightly fancier, the marks on this plate predate the recorded marks for 1894-1924 for this fine Limoges Company. Charles Ahrenfeldt born in the 1850's took the factory over from his father and by the late 1890s was doing a heavy export business with his fine porcelain. Large enough to be a serving charger or a large dinner plate, this lovely piece is beautifully hand painted and gold trimmed. It is in very fine condition, a piece of art as well as a lovely table piece.
