This antique, Masonic badge dates circa 1870's to 1880's and has an incredible design! The piece features a sterling silver double headed eagle embellished with high karat yellow gold symbols. Both the front and the back of the double headed eagle is intricately design with engraved feathers, facial features and talons. An 18k yellow gold cross is featured above the head of the double headed eagle, while a triangle bearing the 32nd degree is set atop the eagle's breast and a sword is held in it's talon's. The Masonic symbols hang from a yellow gold bar which is accented by engraved scroll work on it's front side and reads D.I.Brown Prov. R.I. on the back side. This piece is a fantastic Masonic badge! It is in excellent condition in light of it's age. It's quality and history make this a piece that can't be missed!
