Ornate circa 1920's Silver Salt Cellar w Cobalt Glass Insert This offering is for an early 20th Century silver salt cellar with the original cobalt blue insert. While I'm unable to locate a mark, it originally came from Germany where 800 silver was the standard. The silver holder has a beautiful shape and design of flower swags and Edwardian era baskets. The size is 2 ¾" long, 2" wide, and 1 ¾" high. The cobalt blue insert is in excellent, not perfect condition. It has a chip on the outer surface located on one end, sized 3/8" long and 3/16" wide. Fortunately, the chip is on the outer surface, so only a minuscule flea bite shows when placed in the holder. Simply gorgeous for use and/or display.
