Birmingham Sterling Silver Guilloche Enamel Compact

This offering is for a large, very high quality Birmingham sterling silver compact, with a guilloche enameled lid. The lid has a fine engine turned sun ray design, with white translucent enamel. It has a hand painted floral and foliage design under the translucent enamel. It is very difficult to see the true beauty of the compact, due to the reflection from the enamel. The base is sterling silver. The clasp and hinge function perfectly. The interior has an excellent original mirror and a covered powder well. The maker is Henry Clifford Davies of Birmingham, England in 1961. The size is a generous 3 3/4" diameter. This is an immaculate compact with no wear or loss of enamel or any other damage or sign of misuse. It is heavy in one's hand, of the highest quality. You will love it!
