Millicent Necklace - Antique Guilloche´ Watch with Checkerboard Faceted Lemon Quartz and Apatite Nuggets

Guilloche´ has long been a passion of mine that began with my first Faberge clock and has continued with Faberge eggs, photo frames and various jewelry. The spectacular detailed patterns underlying such rich colors always catches my eye with such a magnificent art form.

This stunning antique ladies pocket watch was the inspiration to juxtapose elegantly checkerboard faceted lemon quartz beads with hand-coiled loops alongside complimentary faceted apatite nuggets that echo the rich turquoise color of the floral gold chased watch case.

The antique gold gilded 800 silver watch was made by The Paskar Watch Company circa late 1800’s to early 1900’s and is still in good working order. The watch movement is Swiss, 7 jewels and was originally pin-set, but was long ago converted to stem-set. The gorgeous deep aqua blue guilloche´ is in good condition except for a small area of darkening near the bottom of the watch face which does not detract from the beauty of this watch.
