Gorgeous, Circa 1890, English, Melon Shaped, Porcelain, Royal Worcester Biscuit Barrel / Jar

This gorgeous, melon shaped, Royal Worcester biscuit jar is complete with its original lid and finial. This wonderful biscuit jar is in excellent condition. Sprays of various wildflowers and leaves encircle this beautiful biscuit jar. Vibrant, gilt accents the hand painted flowers and leaves. The glorious flowers are set against a blush ivory background. A different floral scene adorns each side of this striking biscuit jar. The gilt is in great condition. Gilt, bat's wing fluting accents the rim of this marvelous biscuit jar. This superb biscuit jar stands on a small, gilt foot. The base has minor loss to the gilt. Delicate, yellow colored daisies and pretty, purple colored summer flowers are the focal point of the lid of this lovely biscuit jar. Beautifully detailed, green and lavender colored leaves, accented in gold decorate the lid. A solid, orange colored border encircles the lid. Gilt accents the border. The orange and gilt finial completes the lid. The timeless, Royal Worcester mark is on both the underside of the jar and on the inside of the lid. The Royal Worcester mark is painted in the traditional puce color. BN, the number 2 and 1412 complete the mark on the base and lid of the jar. BN is the artist's initials, the number 2 indicates that this was a two-piece set and 1412 is the shape of the jar. The spots that you see in the photographs are dust, dirt and flashback from the camera. In the photographs, everything is MAGNIFIED. As mentioned previously, there is minor wear to the gilt on the footed base. No harm – mentioned for accuracy! I am extremely particular and I ALWAYS try to mention EVERY, TINY detail. I prefer to be overly cautious then to have an unhappy customer. Otherwise, this fantastic treasure is in Great condition with NO; DINGS, DENTS, REPAIRS, CHIPS, FLAKES, or CRACKS.
