What a stunning antique quilt. Roses and Cameos or Medallions in Tan Rose, Gold, Teal, Ivory, and Greens on a light tan background. Cotton. The is fabric is exceptional. Dating this quilt is difficult. A case could be made for dating it from around 1830 - 1870's.
The quilt is created in 3 wide strips. It has a dark brown border and the backing is in golden tans and white. Very thin batting. The hand quilting is very simple, with perfectly even stitching and on the diagonal.
This creates a stunning bed. I believe this type of quilt to be rare, and finding one in such good condition is not easy.
This is pictured on a queen size bed.
CONDITION: The Rose print in excellent condition with a few minor spots, there is wear on the border (we show the worst in an image), and popping on the backing. It is very sturdy, no odors, tears, or significant concerns.
