Vintage late 1920's to 1930's women's coat. The finest quality in it s day, beautifully tailored and styled. The interesting wool weave was woven in Great Britain. This has a wonderful Art Deco look to it.
The coat buttons with a single button at the collar and one lower in the front. The sleeves are slightly padded at the shoulders.
The lavish ombre fur collar is sheared beaver, as are the cuffs. The coat is fully lined in a satin. Label reads Lawson & Hubbard, Furriers, Boston.
The textile is an interesting and very textured weave featuring soft browns, grays and a rust tone contrast. It is medium weight, and has a nice drape to it.
A very collectible and very wearable coat from the glamorous Deco period in fashion.
CONDITION: Very good condition. The fur has signs of wear...nothing that detracts, but adds to the charm.
