Beautiful 1950's Tiered Gown *Sm *Magical Look-Like Nothing You've Ever Seen

The gown has 2 parts. The net or tulle is a soft yellowish mint green...a very beautiful tone. Some monitors make this look more bluish. The underskirt or lining gives it a more sophisticated look as it is a yellowish light olivey green. Our photos do show this clearly. The gown itself has a strapless bodice attached to a very full double layer net and taffeta skirt. Over this is the most amazing tiered net skirt with a huge pink velvet sash. When I first saw this gown I immediately thought Sugar Plum Fairy...Nutcracker.....also Dior, as he created gowns that were as over the top as this.

The bodice is strapless, boned, and has a side metal zipper. It is covered with the tulle in a softly pleated fashion. The skirt, as mentioned above...is very full with 2 layers of net.

The top skirt is rows and rows of gathered tulle or net deep ruffles........there is a very large pink velvet ribbon at the waist...with long streamers which we tied in the back into a bow. We show the gown with a medium size petticoat....the tiered overskirt holds it shape with little or not effort.

A truly spectacular vintage gown.....we are very pleased to offer this.

CONDITION: Excellent vintage condition. The pink velvet ribbon has sort of crinkly marks on it where it was tied, and perhaps sewn into a bow (again shows clearly in our images). It still looks beautiful as found, although a bit tired. This would be easy to replace....and in pink or the color of your choice.
