Kimport German Character Doll Vintage 1930s

Gorgeous original composition and cloth doll in German costume. Made in Germany for Kimport, circa 1930s. She is 13" tall and has a composition head with molded ears, open closed mouth with teeth and expressive blue eyes. Her original light brown mohair wig is softly waved to frame her face. Her body is firmly stuffed cloth with composition lower arms and hands.

Her colorful German folk costume is made of fabric and felt. It is all original, crisp, clean, bright and undamaged. Her shoes are just wonderful, made of leather with painted wooden heels.

The overall condition is excellent. There is a tiny scuff on the tip of her nose and a painted over ding on her upper forehead underneath her wig. The tips of the fingers on her right hand are missing. Her shoes show minor wear, with a split in one toe. All of these small flaws are visible in the attached photos.

Stamped "Germany" on the sole of the left shoe. Original blue/white label is stitched to her slip. It reads, "Kimport Dolls Independence, Mo. This Doll Was Made In Germany".
