Vintage Castle Film "Lawless Frontier", c. 1939

A vintage Castle Film titled "Lawless Frontier" is available for your consideration. This 3 -5 minute edit was taken from the original film titled "Oklahoma Frontier" (1939) and made for the home market. This shortened version gave the at-home audience an opportunity to view a bit of the original movie, somewhat like our trailers of today. The movie featured Johnny Mack Brown, who was a popular western star in the 30s, 40s, and 50s.

This rare cardboard film reel is in excellent condition. The reel is approximately 3.75 inches in diameter. The film has some damage at the beginning, which I photographed. It also has been repaired about 2 feet into the movie. Since I did not unwind the entire film, there may or may not be additional repairs. The colorful box is in poor condition missing its top and bottom flap.

A super cute addition to a serious film collector's collection or a bit of nostalgia for the western lover in you!
