This is a beautiful Art Nouveau silver plate inkwell in the form of a lady's head with flowing hair decorated with flowers. It is engraved on the left side, R.R. Stevens and engraved on the right side is the date, 6-7-06. It stands 1 ¾ inches tall and 6 ¼ inches at the widest part of the base. There is no maker's mark. It retains the glass insert and shows normal minimal wear to the silver plating. This inkwell has all of the wonderful qualities of the Art Nouveau Era. It has a graceful naturalistic flowing design and weighs 1.25 lbs. This is truly a lovely example of a bygone era.
