Exceptional Circa 1890 Jugendstil Loetz Vase In Metal Art Nouveau Armature
This vase is an excellent example of art glass from the Jugendstil movement of the Art Nouveau Era. The vase stands almost 9 inches tall and 3 ½ inches at the widest part of the body of the vase. It grades from a deep emerald green at the base into iridescent shades of lavender - green culminating in deep swirls of iridescent color at the top. It is encompassed by an ornate three arm metal armature in a leaf design. It is in excellent condition and the armature retains a beautiful bronze patina. This is another fine example of the magnificent art glass produced in Austria during the Art Nouveau Movement.
