Victorian Chinese Bronze Emperor Figural Inkwell
This is a very interesting early Victorian bronze inkwell. It is in the form of an emperor or Chinese wise man and has great detail. The seated figure has a wonderful smiling expression. The head lifts of to reveal the inkwell. The bronze has a wonderful patina and still retains the original glass insert. The insert does have some roughness around one section of the lip, please refer to photos. This super piece is 4 ˝ inches tall and 4 inches across the widest part of the base. This inkwell would add artistic charm to any décor.
