This beautiful Mont Joye vase was produced by the Legras & Cie glassworks which were located in St. Denis near Paris, France. The Legras & Cie factory was established by Auguste Legras in 1864 and ceased production in 1914. This shapely baluster formed vase stands 6 ¼ inches tall and has as it’s subject a fully blossomed iris and one emerging iris bud with subdued gold leaves on a frosty chipped ice background. The rim is finished in a gold saw tooth band with no wear. The condition is perfect and it is fully signed, please refer to photos. This is a more diminutive size and has a lot of charm and appeal.
