Stunning Mont Joye Art Nouveau Enameled Claret Decanter
This beautiful Mont Joye claret decanter was produced by the Legras & Cie glassworks which were located in St. Denis near Paris, France. The Legras & Cie factory was established by Auguste Legras in 1864 and ceased production in 1914. This is a wonderful example of the graceful and flowing lines of the Art Nouveau Movement. This lovely decanter is ribbed on the inside and has a beautiful hand painted enamel floral design. The metal mount and hinge are in excellent condition showing normal wear and patina for the age of the piece. The glass is clear and perfect. It is circa 1900 and stands a little over 10 inches at the tallest part of the spout and 5 ½ inches at the widest part of the body. If you love Art Nouveau then this is the ultimate piece for your collection.
