This raised plateau is a wonderful example of the Victorian Era. It has a beautiful brass base with raised garlands and the rim of the top has an open reticulated design. In the center is a round bronze plaque of four raised singing birds sitting on branches in a tree laden with flowers. Beneath this design are raised musical instruments. This entire plaque is housed within the ornate brass frame. It measures 6 ¼ inches tall and 13 ¼ inches across the widest part of the top. The base measures 5 ¼ inches wide. The piece weighs 5 lbs. This plateau is in excellent condition and represents an elegant example of a bygone era.
