Vintage 19th Century Moser Art Glass Enameled Box
This is another great example of early vintage Moser art glass. It is an exceptional dresser box with a hinged cover. The glass has a pale green - bluish tint with inverted controlled bubbles that give a charming affect to the piece. It is hand painted enamel with a frolicking couple on the front and designs on the top of the cover and sides. On the back is the date, 1657 in the middle of a green garland. I believe this is a 19th century piece made to commemorate a 17th century event. The top of the box and cover are trimmed in brass and the hinge is perfect with the clasp clean and tight. It is in excellent condition showing only normal shelf wear to the bottom. It measures 3 ¾ inches tall by a little over 4 inches wide and 2 3/8 inches deep. This is a wonderful box that would look great in your home.
