We discovered this magnificent Loetz or Kralik bowl while visiting Austria several years ago. It is Circa 1890 and has a wonderful form and iridescent quality. The design folds over at the rim and each fold culminates with a fluted top, please refer to photos. The colors are a deep translucent gold separated by wavy iridescent stripes which creates a shimmering effect especially in the sunlight. It measures 8 ½ inches wide and 4 ½ inches at the tallest point with a smooth pontil on the base. It is in mint original condition. It is always exciting to find quality examples of the Art Nouveau Period.
