This vase is a beautiful example of the Jugendstil Secessionist style of the Art Nouveau Era. It is Circa 1890/1900 and has a very elegant design. The iridescent cranberry glass has a raised striated design at the top half of the vase which really gives it dimension. The vase is encased in a metal armature at top and bottom. The vase is incised on the metal base, Riceszinn and numbered 597. The vase and armature are in excellent condition with the metal armature showing patina with age, please refer to photos. The vase stands 8 1/2 inches tall and 4 inches at the widest part of the body. This vase is a fine example of an elegant bygone era.
