Circa 1890 Antique Moser Cobalt Blue Jewel Casket With Enameled Floral Design
This is a beautiful antique example of Moser. This piece is a deep rich cobalt blue with beveled top and sides The top of the cover is hinged and hand enameled in an intricate white floral design. All sides also have flowing enameled floral garlands. The contrast of the white enameling is striking against the deep cobalt blue. It has a footed base. The metal work was originally silver plated and has worn showing a normal patina for the age of the piece. It measures 5 ½ inches tall by 5 ¼ inches wide and 3 ½ inches deep and is in excellent condition. Moser was known as the King Of Glass and The Glass Of Kings and this Circa 1890 example is certainly testimony to that title.
