Magnificent Figural Circa 1890 Austrian Vase With Woman & Snake
This beautiful bisque vase is a fine example of quality Austrian craftsmanship from the Art Nouveau Era. The vase has a naturalistic free flowing form with lilies and large leaves. On one side is a barefoot female figure looking whimsically around the vase at a coiled snake. The vase is a soft grey blue with figure, leaves and flowers in a cream color with darker accent shades. It measures 10 inches at the tallest point and 5 1/2 inches at the widest point of the base. On the base are incised numbers 500 and also the number 10, please refer to photos. The vase is Circa 1890 and amazingly in mint original condition. Our specialty is the Art Nouveau Era and we are always searching for beautiful pieces from that elegant period. This vase fulfills all of our expectations.
