We are offering a lovely antique tea caddy spoon. It features a wonderfully detailed flower, thistle and shamrock design in the bowl and a scalloped edge.
The spoon is clearly hallmarked with the Anchor (Birmingham), Lion Passant (sterling), Sovereign Head Duty Mark (1784-1890), Maker's Mark JT (Joseph Taylor (1803) or John Thronton (1802) and r (1815).
The spoon measures approximately 3-5/8"L x 1-1/2W and the weight is 8.6 grams or 0.30 ounces. It is in very good condition. There is a tiny hole in the back end of the handle which does not go all the way through. We do not know why or what caused it. We mention it for accuracy in our listing.
