This early set is in excellent condition. It has no rips, dents, chomps, scratches or repairs. The pattern definition is still crisp & well defined-this includes the ridge lines in the handles. The tines of the fork are straight & still have great points. You will of course find normal surface scratching/swirling from usage & old style silver cleaners. Both pieces have identical hallmarks of: "GI 830 S" for G. Jensen-830 silver content; "Three tower/24" for assay mark for minimum silver content & year of manufacture- 1924. "HCF" hallmark for Christian F. Heise-Danish assay master 1904-32. The fork measures approx 8 11/16" long-the spoon measures approx 8 5/8" long. Included with the set is their gray bag. The bag is in excellent condition with no rips, tears, stains or repairs. It still has it's black ink stamping of "Salad Set" & it's original Jensen label for Fifth Ave. The bag could very well be the original for the set as per an article I read on the internet Jensen had a store on Fifth Ave in 1924. A popular pattern, in excellent condition with great age. What more could you ask for.
