Sterling & Etched Glass 4 Bottle Perfume Decanter Set

This set is all original. Look at the beautiful pattern work on the base & screw on tops. Even the bottom of the base has pattern work. There are no dents, cracks, repairs found on any of the sterling. The base & all 4 matching tops have identical marks of: ETB=Importer, Lion=sterling, f=date of 1901, F=Foreign Import , Leopard=London. We believe it to be French in origin due to style but can not find any original maker's marks. The sterling rims to bottles & the lids are threaded for screw on. The threads are intact, not stripped, but 1 is a little stiff. The 4 hand cut internal stoppers are correct & appear to be original. They have normal roughness to bottom rims & one has chips to it's base that have been smoothed off during it's lifetime (see photo). This is hidden when in bottle. The 4 quarter bottles have a lovely etched pattern on their curved fronts. On picture that is a reflection running down right side due to curve in bottle-not damage. There is even a cut accent on each bottles top shoulders (see photo-sorry cap blurred getting cut work close up). The hand finished bottles are in lovely original condition. Bottle #1= a 1/4" long rough facet top interior rim & a couple of those pesky 1/32" & smaller nicks to side & bottom rims. Bottle #2= a few 1/32" rough rims to facet edges. Bottle #3 = a couple 1/64" bites to facet rims. Bottle #4 = can't see anything but my fingernail dragged on a facet rim. All 4 bottles have the normal, expected spot here & there from rubbing against each other or the frame from being removed. Superb glass condition for 100+ years! The glass is clear of all over fog/cloudiness. It does have specks of brown residue from perfume & an occasional mottled spot of light fog. Beautiful piece in outstanding condition.
