An antique 9 CT yellow gold , silver, Diamond and Ruby set "Navette" style ring hand crafted in the British Far Eastern colonies for the British Victorian market. The ring was hand crafted between 1850 and 1890; there are no identifiable markings. My appraiser feels this ring is British Colonial and that it is rare and he gave it a very high replacement value. The ring has been bezel set with 16 "Indian Face" (rough with polished flat faces) Diamonds, estimated to weigh 1.12 CT., gauging 1.50-3.10 mm.The ring is made in 9CT gold with a highly polished silver overlay backing the diamonds. The large red oval , medium cut, .30CT., bezel set Ruby gauges 4.9x3.95x1.55 mm. mounted. The clarity is HI1. There are neither stamps nor marks. The ring has been tested for gold and silver by a certified gemologist. The ring weighs 7.70 gr. The size is: 8 & 1/4 The Certificate of Appraisal will accompany the ring on purchase.
