An antique sterling silver love token bracelet made from three antique sterling silver Mexican coins (1889 and 1899) and three sterling silver British Queen Victoria coins (one is marked 1896). The three British Queen Victoria coins are love tokens. One is inscribed with the intertwined letters "CBG", the second has the name "ALF" and the third has the letters "AT" . There is a fourth British Victoria Regina sterling silver coin, this one also a love token with the letters GLH,but which is separate from the bracelet. This love token is ready to be attached to the bracelet and has two sterling rings for that purpose. It had been removed by the last owner of the bracelet, who had a small wrist. I am including this piece , for a buyer who wishes to have the bracelet enlarged. This is an unusual combination. The bracelet was designed utilizing three (originally four ) British Queen Victoria love tokens and three Mexican coins from the same period. All sterling silver. The clasp is circular and nicely made. It's as large as the coins and fits in well with them. There is a three inch safety chain attached to either side of the clasp, with four sterling silver coins and a sterling silver Maltese cross attached to it. Three of the coins are smaller Mexican coins ,one of them a love token with the initials "GC". The Maltese cross is engraved with the name "GEORGE" on one side. The fourth sterling silver coin is empty of any marks. It is a coin ,which has had both sides sanded down and just adds an extra jangle to the bracelet. The bracelet measures 7 inches long and around 5/8 of an inch wide. It weighs 28.2 grams. The bracelet has been tested and is sterling silver. There are no silver marks on the bracelet.
