D. Minns signed Portrait of Old African Woman Selling Fruits from Shack - Litho

Offering a picture left to me by my great aunt and for which I have no real information.

This black and white work measures 22 1/2" X 26 1/2". It is professionally framed and under glass. An old tag on the back dates framing to 1983.

The art work is signed in pencil, D Minns and the date '82.

Featured is an old, black woman leaning out of the window of a wooden shack and selling either small fruits, or large nuts.

I love this picture. It has a great deal of subtle emotion. Whoever this artist is, he/she captured the feeling of heat, poverty and character, with amazing accuracy.

I think this may be a lithograph. There are no pixels, so it hasn't been mechanically produced.

Brown paper backing is torn, but aside from that, there is no damage.

A moving, beautiful piece.
