1950's Japan 6 Hand Painted Pottery Vegetable - Condiment Bowls
Offering a set of six gorgeous, mid-century, hand-painted, ceramic pottery vegetable dishes. These could have been used for individual servings, or perhaps they were condiment bowls for the table.
They were made in the 1950's in post war Japan and each piece is hand painted with different vegetables: eggplant, onions, carrots, mushrooms, radishes, cabbage, etc .
The bowls are a modified triangle shape that is legged on one side, providing a slight dip in the bowl at one angle. The backs are all painted in deep purple.
Each bowl measures about 5 1/2" in diameter.
No chips or cracks. Light crazing on some of the purple bottoms.
