Offering a huge and heavy (22 lbs.) white stoneware jug made by the Red Wing Union Stoneware Company in Red Wing Minnesota, in the late 1890's or early 1900's.
This jug measures 18" in height and the base is 12" in diameter. The handle was roughly applied but still holds strong and the jug can be picked up by it.
The logo is clear enough to read, and the number 5 indicates the gallon amount.
Numerous small nicks and surface pocking.
There is also a crack which runs down the side and across the base. I have tested the jug with water and it does seep out from this crack. Please examine photos well. The jug still looks great for display but if you planned to put cider or beer in it, this won't work for that.
I have a second, matching jug listed separately.
Please examine photos well.
