Early English Brass Push-Up Beehive Candlesticks
This very nice early pair of bee hive style candle sticks stand 9 ½" tall. They both have their push up rods, however it looks like they haven't been used in decades. I suspect it would take some WD30 and patience to get them loosened up. The sticks themselves are in very nice condition with no problems noted. No dents or cracks in the metal.
Push-rods were designed into these candlesticks so that any wax left in the sconce after burning a candlestick can be easily ejected to make way for the next wax candlestick to be put in. Both sticks are clearly marked England and numbered.
