Fresh to the market from a northern Vermont the lovely punch ladle is marked Alpaca. Alpaca style silver was made in several locations around the world. The most commonly found being, Peru. With the pattern on the handle my professional guess is that Peru is where this piece was made. Alpaca Silver- is a blend of 3 metals, nickel, zinc, and copper. The piece is then coated with sterling silver. This combination of metals makes the piece stronger than "normal" 925 sterling silver. It holds its white silver luster as well as Sterling, and cleans just as easy. I have polished this piece and it is just lovely with no damage of any sort noted. This piece is lovely and gift worthy. $85
