I recently purchased this wonderful large platter and the matching covered dish which is being sold separately. Using the registration diamond these pieces date to October 9 1871. The given name of the pattern is "Cenis." Pineapples the sign of the gracious hostess welcoming guests to her home is the body of the pattern. The colors are built on a white soft paste and are brown and white with the yellow of the fruit and green of the leaves. I have never run across this pattern before and can only think that it must have been a glorious table setting. This piece will be the centerpiece of your transfer collection. It is worthy of being the star of your sideboard or table. DIMENSIONS: 13 1/8" long x 9 5/8" wide x 1 1/4" tall CONDITION: no problems of ANY sort noted it is lovely!
