Aesthetic Movement Ridgeway Pineapple Pattern Covered Dish

I recently purchased this wonderful covered dish and the matching platter which is being sold separately. Using the registration diamond these pieces date to October 9 1871. The given name of the pattern is "Cenis." Pineapples the sign of the gracious hostess welcoming guests to her home is the body of the pattern. The handles and finial are a modified buckle style. The colors are built on a white soft paste and are brown and white with the yellow of the fruit and green of the leaves. I have never run across this pattern before and can only think that it must have been a glorious table setting. This piece will be the centerpiece of your transfer collection. It is worthy of being the star of your sideboard or table. DIMENSIONS: 10 ½" handle to handle x 5 ½" tall with cover on. 6 ½" wide Bottom is just shy of 3" deep CONDITION: no problems of ANY sort noted it is lovely!
