T & R Boote Circa 1900 Brown & White Transfer Platter -Daisy Pattern
This nice mid sides platter is such a pretty and fresh pattern. It has a cream colored center with a border of daisies or black eyed susans that drop over the side of the rim towards the center of the plate. In 1906 this company stopped production of dinner wares and concentrated on tiles, so this pattern predates that time. The brown color tends towards the red/pink of brown not the darker blue brown. This is such a nice utilitarian sized piece, most useful.
DIMENSIONS: 12 ¼" x 9" x 1" tall
CONDITION: there is crazing on the center well area in keeping with age and use. This follows through to the back of the plate. There is one area in a corner that feels like a split in the pottery. It does not go through to the back and has not moved. It may have been done in the firing of the piece.
