William Adams 1849 registry Jeddo Pattern Flow Blue Coffee Pot
This lovely flow blue coffee (tea) pot has a registry mark of 1849 and was made through the 1850's by the William Adams company. The pattern name is Jeddo. Pronounced EDO in Japanese this was the capitol city of Japan in that era. The shape of the pot is full panel gothic. Even here in New Hampshire these pots are no longer easy to find. They simply don't make their way to the market like they did 30 odd years ago.
DIMENSIONS: 8 ¾" tall x 9" from the tip of the spout tp the edge of the handle.
CONDITION: Offered in remarkably good condition with slight staining. There are several TINY chips on the tip of the spout, they look to be quite old. There is also a short OLD hairline in that area. Other than that No chips, cracks, hairlines or repairs noted. Not bad for an item that is 163 years old! The pot is in lovely vintage condition.
