This terrific 19th c. paint game board was found in attic of a home very near to the US and Quebec, Canada border. The paint is black and white and is the original surface. The border is done in a bread board style and it has wells at each end to catch checkers not in play. It certainly could be used on any table top as a game board or displayed hanging on a wall. This is all original and really a marvelous piece of folk art. It certainly is a reminder of how we all spent our leisure hours before computers, face book and twitter
