Four Piece Victorian Hand Show Towels group #4
I am listing a number of groups of vintage linens. I have so many full boxes, that the only way to sell them before I turn 600 is to do them in groups. Do take a look if your looking for Victorian hand towels, doilies, runners and the like. All of these pieces could use a laundering. I have noted condition on each piece. If you need more photos I will try to do better. Whites are not easy to photograph. I have done my best to describe each piece as to pattern, fabric, size and condition.
It's hard for a mother to choose between her children ... but this set has my personal favorites!
#1 Measures 34" long x 21" wide this towel is damask and has a lovely floral pattern woven into it. Flowers include Morning glories, daisies, day lilies and bachelor buttons. Very good condition
#2 36" long x 20" wide. The fabric is very white soft damask. There is a scallop sea shell pattern woven into the fabric. This is a VERY pretty towel in V. good condition.
#3 34" long x 20 ¼" wide. This is a BEAUTIFUL towel.... There is a large bouquet of irises in center of the towel. There is a checkerboard pattern "frame" woven around the edge.
#4 38" long x 19" wide. The color is a creamy white, fabric is huck. The towel has 2 hand crotchet "doilies" set into a cut out circle. The center of the towel has a soft no pattern frame . This is a v. pretty towel.
