What a terrific vintage group this is! I have washed and ironed all of these pieces. They are as follows:
#1 Oatmeal colored nubby Linen with cross stitch pattern on both ends. It measures 16 3/4" x 42" 1940s/50s vintage. It has one very small spot on it towards the edge. The type that one puts to the back side and it is never seen.
#2 Plain white heavy duck cotton. On three sides of the edge there is a lovely hand crotched edging. Measures 17" x 42". 1940s/50s vintage. No problems noted.
#3 White with white embroidery. Measures 50" x 15 1/2". 1940s/50s vintage. There are several very light yellow stains on one side.
#4 Measuring 27" round this lovely white table cloth is done with a scalloped edge and cut work. It is a light weight cotton and would be perfect to use under glass on a side table. The cloth does have one very light stain that is almost centered.
#5 The pair of Victorian pillow shames are about the same weight cotton as the #4 cloth. They look very nice together. The shames measure 30" square. Each of these shams has loose threads along the edges that can easily be cleaned up with scissors. One has a pinprick of a spot on an edge, the other has a short 1/4" slit right on one of the edges. It could easily be repaired with 3 or 4 stitches. Minor fixes even a novice could handle!
#6 Measuring 29" x 30" a lovely Victorian sq. Pillow sham. It is an open cut work style. The center has 4 hearts that make up the pattern. One small area of very light staining in one corner.
