This exquisitely rendered Art Deco brooch from the 1930's was created in a heart shape, accented by geometric design elements typical of the period. A charming bird perched daintily on a branch flutters among the dogwood flowers. Custom made for a prominent Chicago client, excellent craftsmanship is evident in the execution and materials used throughout this piece. Set with a melee of European-cut, baguette, and antique triangle-cut diamonds, the total diamond weight is approx. 3.41 ct. with a clarity of VS2 to SI1 and EFG color. The diamonds are framed by millegrain detail in an 18k white gold (tested) mounting. The pin stem has a vintage style closure with an 18k white gold safety pin and chain for additional security. Dramatic in design and size, this one of a kind brooch measures 1 3/4" wide by 1 9/16" tall and weighs 13.9 grams.
