Antique English Miniature 1800's Mourning Pin, Georgian Enamel, Doll Size

An English Miniature mourning or sentimental item of jewelry from the 1820-30 period. Perfect for that special doll.

The smallest little pin dating from the 1830 period. This teeny pin is the size of a finger nail. Hand made in England during the William IV period. It has blonde hair under the central glass compartment. This compartment is surrounded by an intricate Gold chased border(untested but we are pretty sure that it is likely to be 9 ct minimum, full refund if it is not as you require). This in turn is surrounded by a black enamel border. This in turn is surrounded by a Gold (untested) chased frame. The reverse is of curved shape and is gilded brass/ metal. It has its original tube hinge, steel pin and C clasp.

Measuring 0.5" square!!!

Condition is very good except for a chip to the glass compartment. An easy job for your jeweller to replace or to be honest because of the MINUTE size of this pin, it really does not notice.

A wonderful addition to your mourning collection. We do not think that you will find a smaller pin. A super item for your special antique doll or we would like to see it in a shadow frame with similar Georgian pieces. Yummy........
