Antique Victorian Gentleman's Smoking Cap With Embroidery 1800's

Measuring 6 inches in diameter by 3 inches tall. The ground fabric is a black cotton velvet on a muslin backing. This is hand embroidered with silk floss thread in shades of orange, yellow, purple, pink and cream. The stitches used are long stitch, running, cross and french knot. The woven muslin lining has an area of pink printed writing/ signs/motifs. Also there appears to be a paper lining/ reinforcement under the muslin.

Condition is good antique condition after all this item is over 150 years old. The silk floss has faded, as you can see from the brighter silks on the interior.One or two very, very small areas where the velvet pile has worn back to the cotton backing cloth. The interior muslin is a little discolored due to age and has one or two tiny areas of fraying to the muslin on the very edges. Minimal. This item is in good clean condition no holes, repairs or nasty whiffs. It is small, they were smaller years ago.
