Here is a gorgeous large center bowl made by Gorham Sterling in 1895. It has a round footed pedestal and bulbous bowl with a flared scalloped lip. There is a wide band of lavishly chased repousse worked florals.
It is engraved Presented to Mr & Mrs Wm Granger by the Hudson Fire Dept.Feb 20 1896.
It was hard to capture all the detail with my lighting and the reflections.
The bowl is 6" high and 10" in diameter. It weighs two pounds on my postal scale. Not sure how many troy ounces that is.
There is one minor crease at the lip,one tiny ding and some minor scratches from use. There is another one of these on Rubylane with excellent pictures.Mine is priced much lower.
Very good condition
