A fine old dot and dash style sweetheart sterling charm bracelet with 7 USN charms with a very heavy vintage patina from the WWII 1940's era. Probably a gift from a sailor to his girl, this is a hard to find bracelet, and in such great, untouched condition. I t is 7 and ¼ inches long from end to end, and weighs .3 ounces or 10 grams. It has 7 charms, 2 Military eagles with fouled anchors, 2 USN anchors, 2 US Navy pilot wings, and a center battleship. The battleship is 1" long, marked Sterling on the back. The other charms are all about ½ of an inch. The older thumbless clasp is marked Sterling. A wonderful and very collectible second world war militaria bracelet!
This bracelet and others like it are featured on page 18 of Nick Snider's book, "Sweetheart Jewelry and Collectibles", 1995 ed.
