Simon Guggenheim Society:

Simon Guggenheim, 1867-1941, b. Philadelphia, served (1907-13) as U.S. Senator from Colorado. With his wife he established (1925) in memory of their son the John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation, which grants scores of fellowships annually to scholars, writers, artists, and scientists.

Solid green marble. Bronze medal insert on one side.

The can be turned around so the medal does not show if you are looking for some great solid marble bookends to add distinction to your bookshelf, desk or library.

6" tall, 4" wide, 2 1/2" deep at bottom.

No chips or cracks.
