Antique 1890 Gold Fill Enamel Lorgnette Spectacles Eye Glasses.

Pink and grey bands of enamel overlay the rolled gold of this lorgnette to create a beautiful finish on the serpentine shaped handle.

It is in superb condition. The lenses are free from cracks or chips. The clasp and hinge are in perfect working order. The underside of the bridge is marked 1/20 14K. This means that a layer of 14K gold weighing 1/20 of the item's weight is bonded to the exterior surfaces of the frame and handle.

The lorgnette is 4 1/2 inches in length.

A chatelaine loop is attached to the handle which facilitates wearing this beautiful lorgnette pendant style on special occasions.
